inside the mind of a caffeinated creator

I like coffee.  Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good cuppa tea, but there’s something about that first sip of that beautiful coffee in the morning; that moment where the rest of the world just doesn’t matter – just for a second, it’s just me and that devine aroma.

Many of my creations have been developed in a caffeine-fueled haze of inspiration.  Mornings start with an idea that I can’t let go of, and before I realize it’s a late night project that just begs to be finished.  Another cup of the good stuff calls to me.

Some days it’s the kitchen that beckons – other days it’s the wood pile.  Many a road trip have included a knitting bag and travel mug.

Rainy days make the decision easy, but even a sunny summer outdoor opportunity has fallen to the draw of a crafternoon playlist.  Music, coffee, and creating – I’m a sucker for it every time.

Here I’ll narrate my way through new art projects and craft ideas, while feeding myself pretty well along the way.  Hubby and the fur babies are bound to turn up in my ramblings, since they’re usually the audience to my madness.  I never guarantee a project will come out the way I imagine, or even turn out at all, but I always seem to find myself back at it again – with a cup of inspiration usually within reach.
